Counseling & Services

school counseling

School Counselors play a vital role in helping students succeed by implementing a comprehensive counseling plan each year. They provide a wide range of services that support students’ growth in academics, life skills, mental health, and college, career, and life readiness.

Counselors use data to guide and enhance their programs, aligning their work with Florida’s standards and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. This framework directs their efforts in individual counseling, small group sessions, and classroom lessons.

In addition, School Counselors offer valuable resources to students, families, and staff to promote a supportive and safe learning environment that encourages personal growth and success both in school and beyond.

Parents are always welcome to visit or call the school for assistance or advice.

Meet Zoey!

Meet Zoey, our beloved therapy dog and proud registered member of the American Kennel Club (AKC). Zoey has become a familiar and treasured face on campus, bringing joy, comfort, and calm wherever she goes. She visits classrooms regularly and spends time with individual students who may need a little extra care, encouragement, or a quiet moment to reset. Her gentle presence helps students manage big emotions, ease anxiety, and build confidence in a warm and supportive way.

Zoey holds one of the highest honors a therapy dog can earn, the title of Distinguished Bonafide Therapy Dog. This recognition is awarded to dogs who have completed at least 400 community visits, demonstrating extraordinary dedication and service. She wears her therapy vest and special patch proudly, a symbol of her hard work and the many lives she has touched.

Beyond her impressive accomplishments, it’s Zoey’s heart that makes her truly special. With her calm spirit, kind eyes, and wagging tail, she brings people together and reminds us of the power of kindness and connection. Whether she’s sitting patiently beside a student during reading time, joining a class meeting, or offering a comforting cuddle after a tough day, Zoey plays an important role in building the caring, family-like community that defines our school. Each day, she reminds us that sometimes, the best lesson is simply to lead with love.
